It usually clears frost in a few minutes (you can usually see it start to work in a few seconds) and any inside moisture in about 30 seconds to 1 minute (it does in mine). As such with a bit of tin foil and solder, the guy from the windscreen replacement just soldered it all up and connected it and it was workiong perfectly! WebDec 6, 2009 · Most misunderstand the latter is known as quickclear and the former is heated windscreen. If it is indeed the air con, it probably needs re-gassing. If you mean heated windscreen its most likely a fuse. The front screen heater uses so much power its on a fuse of its own.
