Denny II who was only 27 years old when he drew up the design for the Rhodes’ dream home. In 1894 Denny came to Atlanta and started drafting designs for architectural firm Bruce & Morgan. It was built in 1764 and was a private residence for several notable people. In 1926 it became the headquarters and museum for the Spen Valley Literary and Scientific Society.
